Thursday: Stallion day
New at the international top event Indoor Brabant will be the stallion day on Thursday 12 March. The best young approved jumping and dressage stallions from home and abroad will compete in three competitions each in different age categories.
The organization want to present a platform to the breeding industry. Sports director Frank Kemperman: “The breeding industry and the sport need each other. Traditionally there was an annual regional stallion selection on Friday morning during Indoor Brabant and the stands were packed.” Indoor Brabant want to restore this tradition. “We hope that the many top riders who start at Indoor Brabant will bring their young, approved stallions as well. One of them, Ludger Beerbaum from Germany, said he it thought it was an excellent initiative.”
Approved stallions between ages five and eight from all studbooks can take part in these competitions. Most older stallions already compete at international level and the best will be at Indoor Brabant.
